Alana Sealy is an up and coming operatic soprano. In 2009, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Voice Performance from Case Western Reserve University in collaboration with the Cleveland Institute of Music.
With an extensive background in Musical Theater, Alana has played many roles including Mrs. Lovett, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008); Mrs. Potts, Beauty & the Beast (2007); Rosa Bud, The Mystery of Edwin Drood (2004); and Kate, Pirates of Penzance (2002).
Alana participated in her first Opera at the age of 10 as a Gingerbread boy in the ZZZZZZZZZZZZ opera company. During high school, she was in the ensemble of the Opera Company of North Carolina’s production ofTurandot It was there she met her current teacher, Christine Weidinger, performing Liu. At Case Western, she performed First Witch in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.
